GAP Solutions Inc Secretary I in Washington, District Of Columbia

Position Objective: Provide administrative support to a federal customer. This position provides administrative support in an office, usually to one individual, and, in some cases, to the subordinate staff of that individual. The individual maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities, works fairly independently receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance, and performs various clerical and administrative duties requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make travel arrangements through completion in accordance with Travel Policy & Procedures.

  • Process mail in accordance with customer correspondence guidelines.

  • Prepare form letters, memoranda, and other business related documents in accordance with the Navy Correspondence Manual and customer procedures.

  • Create and maintain office files to meet government requirements in accordance with the Directives Management and Records Management documents.

  • Attend meetings, generate and maintain meeting minutes, disseminate information concerning projects and programs, note important information or conflicts, and follow up on action items.

  • Schedule and arrange for conference facilities and conference/VTC calls.

  • Process security information to meet government requirements in accordance with the customer Security Manual.

  • Perform administrative tasks/duties in accordance with branch operating procedures. Examples include: managing branch supply orders, ensuring printer stations are monitored, and ensuring phone rosters are updated.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience.

  • Secret clearance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree Degree highly preferred.

  • Must have experience formatting, processing and records maintenance for all official documents. Experience in naval correspondence highly desired.

  • Working knowledge of JPAS is highly desired.

  • Experience in Defense Travel System is highly desired.

  • Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Ability to work independently and be highly responsive.

  • Must be able to favorably pass customer and company background and security process.
