This position requires a security background check, including fingerprints and a Bachelor's Degree as a condition of employment. Employees of the Department of Children and Families are paid on a bi-weekly pay cycle. Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly documented by the language/work experience provided and described in the “Jobs and Duties” of each period of employment on the State of Florida application. Any omission, falsification or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process and organization.

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for position. Extensive knowledge of child care licensing and training policy and procedures, statutory and administrative rule language, legal opinions related to child care as well as the ability to review and comprehend program policy, statutes and rule.

This position will act as the liaison between the Office of Child Care Regulation and the Department’s Web Services. Responsible for the Program Office’s internal and external communications, its policies, achievements, challenges and goals, through the Child Care Website and publications. Must have experience with the Child Care C.A.R.E.S. system. Responsible for legislative research and bill analysis. Provide assistance with the promulgation of Departmental rules relating to child care licensing and training and develop policies and procedures to ensure the effective administration of the child care services program.
