Provides financial planning, analysis and reporting to management for the Cardiac Arrhythmias and Heart Failure (CAHF) business unit. Performs analysis and review of operating results. Assists with monthly financial closing activities, as well as preparing financial models, ad hoc analysis, and presentations supporting the quarterly LBE (latest best estimate) forecasting cycles.
Routinely performs financial planning and analysis activities for the CAHF business unit (Marketing/R&D), which may include any combination of the following areas: budgeting and forecasting, detailed variance analysis, DCF/IRR modeling, headcount analysis and purchase requisition approvals.
Participates in the monthly closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and conducting research across multiple financial systems
Partners with business to develop month-end analysis and commentary related to the financial close cycle and quarterly LBE cycles.
Prepares consolidated reporting, presentations and analysis for month end close and quarterly LBE cycles.
Understand the business as a subject matter expert, represents the business in finance decisions
Provides routine reports to finance management based on knowledge of finance systems and knowledge of the CAHF operations.
Supports the business in the preparation of capital purchase requisitions
Participates in ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by finance management.
Executes annual goals and objectives as defined by the CAHF Finance team.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
A minimum of one to two years of related experience.
Previous experience working with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must have strong proficiency with relevant financial systems applications: SAP, Hyperion Planning, Essbase.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
