SCOPE OF POSITION: A unique opportunity to collaborate across the different functions within Regulatory Affair, cross-functionally within Research and Development RandD and with functional areas such as Operations, QA, Legal, Engineering, and Commercial. This individual will work closely with the Senior Director of Program Management to implement Company s strategic initiatives as well as Maintenance of business projects across the North American Operations team. This individual will be required to integrate strategic, critical thinking and scientific review along with strong project management skills to guide project teams and initiatives to success from a scope, schedule, and budget perspective. This position requires effective communication on program status to senior leadership across the company. This role will manage and support the capital needs of RandD/Operations strategic projects and initiatives as well as the site Maintenance of Business program. The Director of Capital is responsible for both managing a capital engineering team as well as identifying, scoping, and implementation of the capital requirements for new product development opportunities and Maintenance of Business projects for Company North America. Responsibilities include cost estimating, equipment layout, detailed design, contractor selection, and implementation of all capital projects. The Capital Director will work closely with individual Project Managers to ensure the capital portion of the projects meets the overall project needs. The individual in this role will be a member of the PMO organization and interact with all levels of leaders across operations/RandD and cross functionally with the North American leadership team. This role will be responsible for establishing and managing the North American capital program and will ensure projects are executed and managed successfully. The Capital Director will also ensure that there is adequate report out of project status on a routine basis.
