Description:

Pratt & Whitney the leader in military jet propulsion is looking for talented and creative design engineers to join our advanced exhaust system team. This position is within the Hot Section Engineering (HSE) organization, in one of four module centers that has the responsibilities of crafting and developing the most dependable jet propulsion products in the industry. Design engineers are part of the multidisciplinary integrated product team (IPT). You will be self-motivated with high energy while working well in teams. You will possess good communication and problem-solving skills. The Design Engineer has responsibility for the overall component or module design and will balance requirements across disciplines to produce a well-balanced and robust design. Level of Responsibility: •Collecting and organizing system/ module level requirements to create or modifying existing designs dependent on the phase of the program. •Feedback to all disciplines on how the design is progressing and how it will potentially affect their analysis. •IPT status and updates of metrics such as weight, cost, and schedule. •Generating and documenting information in order to support design reviews.

Qualification:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Internship experience a plus.

Education:

Minimum BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
