Completes daily reports including cycle time, daily production, scrap tickets and packaging report.Maintains quality and speed by continual adjustments of gauges that control temperature, pressure, trim, rolls and speed to material.Monitors machines for mechanical problems by listening for unusual noises and visually checking gears, hoses, gauges, materials, etc. Initiates troubleshooting and solves mechanical problems.Performs general preventive maintenance on equipment.Notifies supervisors and/or maintenance of need for repair assistance if unable to fix.Ensures adequate packaging materials and rolls (if applicable) are available for production runs.Performs change-over and set-up duties.Follows all safety rules, GMP's and BRC regulationsFollows roll change procedures and threads rolls into machine as needed.Provides guidance to Product Handlers and Forklift Operators on moving materials.Keeps general work area clean.Performs other duties as assigned.Core Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:One (1) year experience in operating manufacturing equipment preferably in thermal forming or extrusion.Experience using process control equipment preferred.Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment problems.Ability to use measuring devices.Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Ability to work weekends as needed.Ability to work overtime as needed.Dart Container is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
