Microchip Technology Failure Analysis Technician in Chandler, Arizona


::Supporting Failure Analysis Engineering with initial bench and ATE testing. Technicians perform a series of non-destructive tests required to confirm a customers reported failure mode. The ability to work under a deadline and attention to detail are a must.


Performing visual examination under low power microscope inspecting packages for any damage or defects.

Employing Real Time X-ray and acoustic microscope to inspect packages for any damage.

Employing Curve Tracer to check devices for any evidence of electrical damage in the ESD structures.

Performing hot and cold temperature testing using Automated Test Equipment. Teradyne tester experience a plus.

Documenting initial test results in a written report and distributing to various engineers for review.

Working with Product and Test Engineers to solve test and setup issues.

Performing decapsulation of plastic packages using acid. Experience with chemicals preferred.
