The iShares Communications Review team is part of BlackRock’s iShares ETF business, and is responsible for the review, approval, FINRA filing and record-keeping of ETF marketing and communication with the public. The team works in close partnership with sales, marketing and compliance groups to help ensure regulatory compliance of marketing and sales collateral, web content, and social media.
The iShares Regulatory Communications Review Associate will be responsible for the review and approval of ETF communications with the public. In this role you partner closely with the firm’s compliance, sales, marketing and product teams to maintain a robust communications review program for the U.S. and Canadian iShares businesses. The primary focus will be regulatory review and principal approval of ETF marketing and communications, and FINRA filing as applicable. This position is part of the iShares COO group, is team oriented, and entails creating robust relationships throughout iShares and BlackRock.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Review ETF communications with the public including advertising, marketing, web, social media, white papers and sales presentations
Develop robust knowledge of FINRA advertising rules, ’40 Act and ’33 Act communications standards
Manage regulatory filings of iShares marketing materials, ensure regulatory comments are implemented and escalated as necessary
Special projects as required
Conduct iShares communications training
1+ years of communications review for a broker-dealer, mutual fund, or ETF complex
Knowledge of FINRA and SEC advertising rules
Series 7 registration required
Series 63 and 24 preferred (required within 3 months)
Excellent organizational, negotiating and interpersonal skills; should be solutions driven, confident, and a highly motivated team player with impeccable integrity
Strong analytical, writing and reading skills with an acute attention to detail
Ability to act decisively and independently in situations requiring quick analysis and decision making
