A Senior Service Engineer – Dynamics AX is a senior position that is responsible for strategic application administration, design, planning, execution and support. This position will run necessary system backups and provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application related issues. This position requires a strong understanding of software architecture and programming principles. This position will support multiple, complex customers in a highly diverse and integrated hardware/software environment.

A Senior Service Engineer – Enterprise Applications will be focused on enhancing and optimizing OneNeck Managed Services. This position will be expected to work across many departments and teams in support of delivering services to OneNeck clients; breaking down any barriers to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Focus will be on developing work instructions to ensure technical activities are conducted in a controlled and repeatable manner. It will be the responsibility of this position to communicate those work instructions to different individuals in the organization and create materials to transfer knowledge and document standards. Developing technical plans, conduct technical reviews, and execute upon plans in support of incident, change, and problem management efforts will also be key to this role. This position is a subject matter expert across many departments and teams.

  • Be an escalation point for issues and requests that cannot be serviced by other groups, working issue to resolution, improving upon process, procedure, and knowledge to reduce future escalations.

  • Be a member of project teams in the planning and delivery of activities to support on-time and on-budget completion.

  • Conduct technical peer reviews of change plans and activities; providing recommendations, guidance, and authorization as appropriate.

  • Develop and enhance technical operating procedures and documentation to improve upon efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

  • Act as the leader of your technology area. Document decisions for standard builds, patching, monitoring, etc. Perform audits of current state and provide direction for remediation.

  • Keep current with manufacturer technical certifications, specialization exams, and licenses.

  • Periodically construct and facilitate training with other groups in support of increasing capabilities, efficiencies, and effectiveness.

  • Conduct evaluations and architectural reviews of customer environments as needed.

  • Provide input on architecture, roadmaps, and best practice standards.

  • Work with Sales teams and SDM to propose enhancements to clients environments in order to meet client’s compute environment requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) OR 4+ years of professional experience.

  • 7+ years of technology experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX.

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX Professional level certification (or obtained within one year of hire).

Other Qualifications

  • ITIL V3 foundation certification preferred.

  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.

  • Results and execution oriented, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision.

  • Advanced communication skills regarding project teams and management.

  • Proven mentorship experience and documentation and training abilities.
