Amazon Video Catalog (AVC) Group is looking for highly motivated web developers to join the Catalog Orchestration team to create new generation of user experience for our content operators worldwide. AVC Orchestration team also create web platforms that allows other AVC teams quickly develop tooling and web interfaces for their customers. We're looking for someone with unparalleled knowledge in current web development technologies who can thrive in an agile environment. You will work very closely with engineers, designers and product managers from conception through delivery on a world class application.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience developing rich applications with HTML, CSS, JS

· 3+ years of professional frontend web software development with HTML, CSS, Javascript, DOM, JSON, AJAX and general Web 2.0 techniques

· Experience with Object Oriented JavaScript Frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, Dojo, Node etc.) and expertise in atleast one of them

· Experience with different UI testing methodologies and frameworks

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field, or commensurate professional experience

· Understanding of CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis

· Design and architecture knowledge as well as familiarity with object oriented analysis and design patterns (OOA/OOD)

· Able to provide examples or portfolio of best-in-class frontend development work

· Experience working closely with UX Designers in a collaborative development environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development

· Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. PHP, Ruby, Perl)

· Understanding of web services technologies such as REST, AJAX, HTTP, WSDL, XSD, and SOAP

· Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment is preferred

· Experience in responsive design and touch interfaces

· Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking

· Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
