This position is located at THE CLUBS AT QUANTICO - MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO . Candidates selected for this position will serve as a CATERING SALES SPECIALIST for MCCS.

We are seeking an exceptional sales specialist to lead our outside sales efforts across our catering and events department. This position will report directly to the Director of Food & Hospitality, will focus on driving revenue and building strategic relationships directly with key individuals in the community, local industry and government agencies. This position will first and foremost focus on new sales growth by gaining business for TCAQ and will focus efforts on identifying and soliciting new business through initiatives such as cold-calling, networking, and establishing a relationship with the local Chambers of Commerce. The incumbent will also build and strengthen relationships with clients to promote future bookings.

Responsibilities
  • Driving business development and sales activities across the Clubs of Quantico and Events Center
  • Implement comprehensive sales strategy and hitting targets aligned with the company’s business plan and annual budget
  • Conceiving and developing ideas to drive new business based on market research and client feedbackDeveloping and maintaining strong working relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Gathering appropriate market and client information in order to effectively identify and pursue new sales opportunities
  • Drafting detailed catering sales proposals
  • Managing client data in appropriate databases
  • Develop a plan that ensures eight contacts and two appointments with future clients daily
  • Track daily activities; contacts, phone calls, emails and social media

EVALUATIONS:

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree*from an accredited college or university in a related field appropriate to sales management *OR
  • An appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above OR
  • Three years’ experience in hotel sales, catering or events sales or food and beverage operations.

Must demonstrate ability to coordinate with various workstations to satisfy customer catering and events requirements. Skills to assist customers in planning delivery of services. Ability to prepare reports and complete simple contractual arrangements.

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Must be able to obtain a ServSafe Manager’s Certificate within the first 30 days. This position is designated in the Medical Surveillance Program and requires the ability to obtain a Health Card.
