Job Title: Senior Quality Specialist
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Purpose and Objective: SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Quality Specialist at our Palo Alto, CA location to work in a cross-functional project management team with special focus on quality assurance from a customer perspective. Solid project management skills including sound communication, risk management and budgeting. Very good understanding of SAP's software development lifecycle processes. Very good understanding of multiple SAP Products and Product strategy. Very good understanding of SAP's Quality strategy, process standards, important legal and corporate requirements.
Expectations and Tasks: Ability to define quality and test strategies for products to ensure compliance with SAP's quality management framework. Ability to support the development organization in understanding the SAP Quality strategy and ensuring that SAP products meet the standard SAP Quality guidelines. Ability to execute and manage customer engagement projects in close collaboration with customers and partners. Ability to set up and manage multiple teams consisting of technical and functional experts from global SAP locations. Manage internal projects to assemble, validate & release SAP products. Ability to analyze and consolidate test results and take appropriate follow-up actions. Initiates process and tool improvements. 10% travel required.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 6 years of experience; or alternatively, a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.
Work Experience: Experience must involve Quality Assurance and Quality Management; Project Management Experience; Customer Engagement; Software Development Lifecycle Process, and SAP Product experience including SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM), and related products, and SCM on HANA. Experience must include PMP certification (Project Management Professional). 10% travel required.
