VMware Product Marketing Manager (Palo Alto, CA) in Palo Alto, California

Plan, direct, and coordinate product marketing policies and programs for software products and solutions for VMware storage environments. Work autonomously in an area of specialization to develop analyses of market size, potential and customer buying behavior to determine the demand for VMware products and services and identify potential customers. Work on complex issues requiring advanced analysis of variable factors. Define target markets for solutions from VMware and partners and develop customer segmentations based on firm-o-graphics (company size, industry, geography) and demographics (system administrator, Windows user, Linux user). Define overall marketing strategy for assigned products and joint go to market with partners. Drive the marketing strategy, positioning, messaging, enablement, and evangelism for vSAN in the partner/channel eco system by creating sales enablement collateral, working closely with third party analyst firms, creating marketing sales enablement tools, performing pricing analysis and providing recommendations, and liaise with product management, finance, and corporate marketing. In connection with the above duties, utilize knowledge and/or skills of performing complex financial analysis involving business and/or marketing developments; using corporate strategy and development techniques to optimize client goals; developing and implementing business processes to improve pricing and profitability of products and services; writing internal and/or external reports related to business and or marketing operations; developing customer relationships to market and sell products and services; and developing and marketing sales enablement tools to grow customer base. Up to 10% international travel required.
