Wells Fargo Sr Business Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The IT for IT group has an exciting opportunity for a senior level Business Systems Consultant in our Vulnerability and Secure Code Technology Team.

This position will act as a liaison between the business area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

Successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating across teams, supporting and managing activities associated with various IT for IT initiatives. We are looking for candidates that have strong problem solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication and experienced with managing large business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Document and maintain business and functional requirements and ensure persistency

  • Elicit requirements from end users to solve a business problem and identify the desired results

  • Communicate with product owner and stakeholders using data process models to clarify and validate requirements

  • Address issues and questions related to intended functionality of the system, as well as support the business in implementing the required changes to make effective use of the new system

  • Support Scrum Master in managing the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team in Agile methodology

  • Support Product Owner with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog as well as Product Roadmap creation

  • Arranged daily stand-up meetings, facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, demo and decision-making processes in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process

  • Manage team workflow using standard tools (Remedy Work Order/Request/Problem Tickets) to ensure adherence to published SLAs

  • Act as a liaison between the business, development, vendor, and infrastructure teams

  • Create various types of project documentation including User Stories and Business Requirements Documents (BRD)

The preferred work locations are MN-Minneapolis or NC-Charlotte. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to these locations with limited to no relocation assistance. Remote work may be an option for those candidates that have Wells Fargo experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change

  • Knowledge and understanding of creation of Screen Mockups using SnagIt or equivalent screen capturing software

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • A BS/BA degree or higher
