We are currently looking to recruit an IT Compliance & Risk Director within our Strategy and Performance function. This role can be based at either our Macclesfield or Cambridge sites.

The AstraZeneca IT function has undergone significant IT transformation to improve performance and perception of IT and is now focusing on delivering a great customer experience and overall service excellence. AstraZeneca End User Services function is committed to deliver excellent customer service and really focus on the customer experience to ensure our IT services meet current and future business needs.
High Level Function Overview
The Strategy and Performance function provides a range of services to AZ IT, including Quality Management, Business Performance Management, Compliance & Risk Management, Strategy Development, Organisational Excellence and technical Learning & Development. Organisational Excellence and Learning & Development are critical to ensure that the AZ IT organisation is structured effectively, that it remains current and is equipped with relevant technical and leadership skills to drive the function forward.

Extensive experiencein multiple areas of quality and compliance within a large complex organisation.
Proven ability to develop innovative compliance and risk strategies and articulating the strategic direction for regulated organisations.
Design and implementation ofQuality Systems as integral to an overallBusiness System.
Experience in managing diverse groups of senior quality, compliance and businessstakeholders with varied and often conflicting priorities.
Delivery – experience of establishing and runningQuality and Compliance organisations. Continuous improvement/Compliance Improvement experience is essential. Experienced in finance and budget control.
External Advocacy– proven experience representing global organisations and collaborating with quality/compliance/risk related external industry forums/trade associations.
Setting Standards – experience and track record of translating regulatory requirements and expectations into ‘fit for purpose’internal policies and standards for effective business controls.
Proven risk management and mitigation experience across functions and organisations.
Assurance– experience of driving risk, quality and compliance assurance across multiple aspects of global operations. Internal auditing and external audit/inspection experience is essential.
