Position: Tax Senior (Business Tax Services)

Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business Administration, or
related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus eighteen months of experience
providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and tax returns.
2. Experience must include eighteen (18) months of:
-Preparing and reviewing federal, state and international income tax provisions for interim and
annual periods including deferred and current provisions, indefinite reinvestment assertions,
valuation allowance assessments and uncertain tax position analyses;
-Preparing and reviewing C-Corporation and flow-through federal, state, and international income
tax returns;
-Performing complex partnership computations, including IRC 704(c) computations, basis
adjustment computations under IRC 743(b) and 734(b), and disguised sale analysis under IRC 707;
-Reviewing taxable income calculations and income reconciliations prepared by tax consultants;
-Utilizing tax software and various research tools including Corptax, Go System, ONESOURCE,
Superform, Global fx, LexisNexis, BNA, CCH, and RIA Checkpoint to provide tax compliance and
consulting services to clients;
-Leading client service projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, billing
and mentoring junior team members;
-Developing, vetting and communicating tax strategies; and
-Organizing and leading internal meetings on matters including new firm-developed technologies
and government-issued tax technical legislation.
3. Position requires approximately 15% travel.

Job Description:
Tax Senior (Business Tax Services) for Deloitte Tax LLP in Las Vegas, NV to assist companies with federal, state and local and international tax compliance, consulting, tax provision preparation, review or audit, and align the tax function with business objectives. Assist clients with fundamental tax planning and analysis, work to understand company-specific business and tax issues and identify and mitigate risk areas. Under the supervision of Tax Managers, Tax Senior Managers, Tax Partners, and Managing Directors, oversee tax consulting projects for clients across many industries. Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues encountered on engagements. Assume tax planning responsibilities for our federal clients and assist with the supervision of assignments. Assist with tax planning opportunity identification, implementing tax planning projects, providing tax research and analysis for clients, and keeping up-to-date on current tax practices and technical issues. Develop a working knowledge of the client's business and tax systems, take responsibility for clearing open items relating to assigned areas, meeting client deadlines, and contribute to the successful completion of projects. Assist with the supervision and mentoring of Tax Consultants and escalate issues when necessary.
