NV Employer Development Coordinator in Las Vegas, Nevada
Shift varies, must have flexible schedule to work after hours and weekends.
Employer conducts pre-employment background check and drug test.
High school diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field preferred.
Two years of work experience in non-profit agency operations preferred, specifically working with a high volume of written/verbal communication.
Experience assisting with communications and /or social media preferred.
Experience working with volunteer efforts, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Outstanding customer service skills; must enjoy working with the public.
Excellent communication skills; phone, in person and in writing.
Ability to work well with volunteers, donors, program staff, and the public.
Sound judgment with ability to work autonomously and make decisions. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Prioritize work, work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high level of organization.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook; Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress a plus
Raiser's Edge and/or Volgistics database experience a plus.
The Development Coordinator provides support to the Development department through assisting with the volunteer/outreach program, media and community relations, and overall support of the organization's fundraising initiatives. The Coordinator will work closely with the Volunteer & Parish Outreach Supervisor to support volunteer recruitment, retention, orientation and recognition, as well as scheduling, tracking and reporting volunteer hours, and will serve as the primary backup to the Volunteer & Parish Outreach supervisor. The Coordinator will also work closely with the Media & Community Relations Director on media related functions. Additionally, the Coordinator will assist as needed with agency events, communications, donor activities, tours and related activities.
