Pfizer Associate Scientist in Lake Forest H3, Illinois

Under direct supervision is trained on and follows established R&D and department operating procedures. Develops an understanding of laboratory GMP, GSP, as well as basic microbiology techniques as applicable to microbiology and sterilization assignments. Initiates test protocols and compiles experimental data into scientific reports for supervisory review. Attends and contributes to project team meetings as assigned.

Responsible for executing basic microbiology core activities (BET, AMC, In-process bioburden and Sterility test method validations) and other activities as required.

Project representative for Microbiology department to project team meetings .

Initiate technical protocols and reports and populate submission templates as required.

Responsible for maintaining lab area and equipment as assigned to cGMP where appropriate.

Support laboratory equipment qualification as directed.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Microbiologist, experience working in pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory and supporting development and life cycle management projects.
