We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our infrastructure operations team. The position we’re seeking a great fit for as Regional Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of company systems and associated infrastructure based out of Charlotte, NC while supporting multiple states in the region. The candidate will proactively lead and participate in supporting IT projects including new infrastructure buildouts, upgrades to existing infrastructure, routine maintenance, and administration. Position requires travel of 70% or greater.
Install, configure, and maintain local area network and wide area network systems, including wiring closets, racks, cabling, file servers, switches, routers, and workstations
Configure routers and switches using predetermined configurations
Provide end-user support and training for a multisite infrastructure encompassing computers, network equipment, peripherals, and smartphones
Partner with IT Support team to provide L2/L3 technical support for escalated issues
Develop and maintain documentation for regional sites
Execute site asset management and proactive monitoring of servers, telephony, network, applications, and associated computing resources
Operate with a cross-functional team of IT professionals and subject matter experts to establish business and functional requirements and translate those requirements into actionable initiatives
Work closely with IT management and peers to maintain company standards
Oversee and ensure integrity of remote server backups
Develop and execute contingency plans for network hardware and software failures including, data networking equipment, phone systems, and servers
Partner with Infrastructure team members to configure, test, and deploy upgrades and initiatives relating to network and computer systems
Assist with installations, upgrades, and maintenance for production line computer systems including hardware, software, and networking components
Act as liaison between end-users and management to understand business and user needs and requirements
Evaluate, recommend, and procure IT-related equipment as consistent with business standards
Assist with the development of yearly IT budget and CAPEX requirements for regional sites
Responsible for analysis and conversions of new business acquisitions to business standards
Enforce and comply with all policies and procedures including those required to pass auditing and governmental requirements
Position will report to the Director, IT Infrastructure Operations
Support Hardware: Cisco routers, switches, and access points; Ubiquiti wireless bridges; HP servers; Dell & HP PCs; printers; tablets/smartphones/PDAs
Support of Operating Systems: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2008 Server, Windows Server 2012
Support and Configuration of Applications: Microsoft Office/O365, Active Directory (group policy management, scripting, etc.), Microsoft System Center (DPM, SCCM), McAfee, Cisco AnyConnect, Citrix, VMware, Solarwinds Orion, Lancope StealthWatch, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, and Ubiquiti AirControl
Onsite and remote support and configuration
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Three or more years’ experience as a Systems Analyst, Systems Engineer, Network Administrator, or similar role
Experience as a traveling technician or network analyst and able to travel on short notice, after hours, and on weekends as needed
Strong verbal and written communication skills
