This job was posted by : For more information, please see: As a Chemist Level I, the primary responsibility for the incumbent includes, but not limited to, by delegation from the Group Leader, to provide, in a safe, legal, and ethical manner, the technical skills and routine problem solving abilities needed to support the analytical and testing services of the Laboratory.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESo Apply the specific methodology of analytical chemistry, bio-analysis and food sciences where required to routine analytical testing and solving problems associated with the analyses performed.o Perform service according to GMP standards and the internal QSM, SOPs and SAMs, and to apply adequate quality control measure to ensure that data generated meet the method requirements and industrial standards.o Keep up with current analytical literature and techniques related to the field of our service, and be aware of current developments in the nutrition supplement and food industries.o Deduce analytical data and perform statistical analyses of analytical data as needed.o Participate in developing and validating new methods and/or verify an existing method for appropriate use under the guidance of Sr. Chemists, Group Supervisor or Laboratory Director.o Mentor technicians on analytical techniques, equipment calibration and maintenance as designated and appropriated by the Group Supervisor.o Understand the properties of chemical substances, especially in regard to the hazards thereof, and to follow safety related practices to achieve safety compliance.o Advise and support with integrity the clients in those issues related to the tests performed.o Adhere to professionalism and to the principles of the scientific method, basing decisions on education, experience, observation, and deduction.oMaintains documentation, equipment, and work areas in a neat, orderly and safe condition.o To carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company's Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy in so doing.REPORTING STRUCTUREThis position reports to the respective laboratory supervisor.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor Degree in any of following fields including Analytical Chemistry, Analytical Biochemistry, Food Chemistry or related fields with two years of laboratory experiences.In lieu of two laboratory experience, individual with a Master degree in these fields may also fill this position.

+ Ability to solve analytical questions related to analytical chemistry analysis/testing and carry out independent testing using standard methods with minimal supervision.

+ Experience with method development and validation according to written procedure and protocol.

+ Attention to detail and ability to learn in a fast-paced laboratory

+ Strong client oriented mind set, an urgency of seeking issue resolution, and must be task accountable individually and as well as part of the team.

+ Possess a strong skill in oral and written business communication and other interpersonal skills.
