The team:

The Concur Product Communications team brings increased visibility to Concur’s products, delivering informed, accessible, and easily digestible product-focused content to Concur employees, customer administrators, and end users. We also champion the power of good user experience, building company-wide awareness and celebration around why UX matters and why it must factor into everything we do. Through showcasing our commitment to the product, we help establish Concur as an innovator in the eyes of existing customers and prospects, solidifying our reputation in the marketplace.

The role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Communications within our Product Experience group, the Product Communications Program Manager will be responsible for producing and publishing content for employee, customer, and end user audiences. The ideal candidate will have a mix of marketing, journalism/publication, and product communications experience, preferably in a digital or social media-centric environment. We are looking for someone who can be hands-on with content production – writing and editing product-focused copy, storyboarding product demos, working with our video studio on video editing – and also keep multiple ongoing content programs organized and on track.

  • You’ll manage the Product Communications content production schedule and assist with ensuring all related project plans are completed to meet the quality we strive to achieve.

  • You’ll help define and document content production and publication processes – and then help us execute against those processes.

  • You’ll work with internal subject matter experts to draw out the product stories to share with our employee audiences and to gather the facts about product news to report to our customer audiences.

  • You’ll work with our team’s Senior Content Producer to manage content production, end to end, from scripting and producing to publishing and promoting video content.

  • You’ll work with peers from other disciplines to participate in cross-team initiatives.

Position Requirements

The requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in content marketing, marketing communications, social media, or another relevant area (project management or program management in a high-tech environment is a plus), plus a BA/BS in a related field.

  • You are a natural communicator. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take technical information and make it understandable and meaningful for various non-technical audiences.

  • You work well with others. Cross-functional communication and collaboration? Check.

  • You love executing. You spend time in the trenches to get things done.

  • You’re thorough. You are detailed oriented and don’t let anything slip through the cracks.

  • You stick with it. Complicated product, changes in business direction, iterations. You get it done.

  • You are equally passionate about quality and efficiency. You pride yourself on getting things done well, on time, the first time, in an environment that is often deadline-driven.

  • You have content production skills, or a knack for picking them up. We would love it if you have some proficiency with editing video, recording on-screen demos, working with motion graphics, or designing simple graphics – we don’t need mastery, but a little know-how would go far.

  • You are self-motivated. You identify and solve problems, you are naturally inquisitive, and you work well in a small team where everyone digs in to figure out how to get the work done well.

  • You’re a technology geek. You stay up to date on the latest trends and tools in the technology landscape.
